*waves from under a pile of work*
Today I am sick, so I am staying home doing paperwork instead of teaching at school (!?). Apparently there is a recession: I currently have more students a week than I can fit on one page of a thirty-four line roll book. And none have the same first name, which is weird. I had two Sophies for a while, but no longer. Three are sitting practical exams in May ... Eek! And somewhere in all this I'm starting a second business *grin* Dance = good. We even had live music last night! Yay! If the numbers keep growing, we can put the price down too. Except we'll need a bigger room, which will probably mean keep the price the same. But bigger room! |

Work stuff
Have more work than I can shake a big stick at :-) Two full days at the new school, and I haven't started teaching there yet! May have to drop the New Brighton school if I don't get more students there. Only three or four time slots left after school too. Not sure when I'm to fit the sewing in! Maybe I'll have some money soon. Then I can start paying my debts :-) |

CF
Wednesday: roadworks. Rain Thursday: depression Friday: good :-) Saturday: piked early and went home. Am glad I did, as was all recovered and unpacked by work time on Monday. Missed all the A&S classes I wanted to go to due to illness on the first couple of days which made me grumpy (Jenny, can you please email me that info from the C12th clothing class? And the Roman stuff, if you can be bothered :-). Also a bit tired of the politics. Is it just me, or is there less effort to speak forsoothly? -- suspension of disbelief was definitely lacking. Tent still rocks! Am hoping the poles made it back to Chch ... Will see if I can find the plans for those that asked. If not, may have to resort to measuring the existing one. |

"Never gonna give you up | Never gonna let you down ..."
You've been Rick rolled! In other news: Had flying Zenny visit Friday night/Saturday. They're off to Faire now. Cleaned garage, by means of moving everything into the lounge ... If I keep that method of cleaning up, I'm gonna run out of rooms to move things into soon. |

"99 Luftballons | Auf ihrem Weg zum Horizont ..."
Had two flying visits from the Zenny over the break and one from Heather. Can't call Simeon's visit a flying one 'cos he was here for more that two weeks. SpaceCat has also flown. It is a bit weird without the basin-drinking moggy, though I'm not going to miss the part where she leaps in the bathroom window while you're sitting on the loo, frightening the bjeezers out of you. Back to work tomorrow ... Am looking forward to it in a perverse kind of way :-) |

Christmas plans
Going to parents' today. Probably be away for a week or so. Generally not impressed with the world at the moment. |

For you legal types:
According to the boss lady at our work training meeting, we are not entitled to a break on a four-and-a-half-hour shift. Comments? Exciting thing for the day was being chased down the road by our landlady. I was in my car and she was on foot. Maybe I will look for somewhere else next year. And on that note: the front two bedroom flat is currently vacant (but the landlady is asking too much and is crazy (see above paragraph); Evan's flat is looking for a flatmate: $150 per week plus expenses for a bedroom, sunroom, kitchenette, and on-suite combo. |

It's broken ...
I can't figure why my Wolvercote LJ isn't showing up in my friends list anymore. Maybe I broke it? |

Blargh ...
That is all. Well, maybe not. But still: blargh I've decided to become someone who doesn't hold grudges, and therefore have instantly become morally superior to all those out there still holding grudges against me *points and laughs at them*. Of course, since they're holding grudges again me, they couldn't possibly be reading this now, right? Cos they're holding a grudge, see, so they wouldn't be at all interested in my side of the story. Oh no! And they wouldn't want to keep a track of my LJ just to see when I slip up or have misfortunes so they can laugh and tell all their grudge-holding friends ... Well bollocks to you all, grudge-holders! Great big hairy ones! :-P Ye gods, there must be something in the water round here ... |

Teeth and ding
I finally had my front teeth repaired today so I can play clarinet and saxophone more easily. Unfortunately, on the way home five houses from my house some bitch backed out of her driveway straight into the Morrie! Didn't even look to see if anything was coming! I did swerve, but Morrie now has a few dings and big scratches, and I'm waiting til tomorrow when Dad visits to try the passenger doors ... So much for original paint from 1957! If we get it panel beaten, that part of the car will look so much newer than the rest. Mum was hoping to sell it as a collector's car, so I feel really stink about the whole thing. Dad was pretty good about it, but still. She just got a new warrant on Saturday and was running really well and now she's all dinged up. Poor baby ... Went to the woolcraft exhibit at the Museum. Mum was on watch dog duty there today. Worth a look, if you're interested in that sort of thing. |

Bal d'Argent
Had a great time :-) Managed suspension of disbelief, and it's been a while since that happened. Masque was excellent -- well done to all the players! And there was dancing!!! Was a bit disappointed there were no classes on stuff I didn't know but did get to dance with Del and various others a lot. MRS ECD demo of St Martins was well received too. 'Ross won in the Silver Serif, our group managed the group serif, and Ignatius the Silver Semibreve :-) Yay for dancey stuff!! |

*prod prod*
Mouse 'mail appears to be broken ... *prods it* I can't get in! Have started dress for Bal. Probly won't get it done in time without serious stress tho ... Some things don't change *grin* C15th ball on Saturday was fun :-) MRS dance class is thinking of running an ECD ball toward the end of the year, just for something a little different. Eleven work days left at the factory; three and a half weeks to self-employment ... Dun dun da! *cues ominous music* |

Busy busy :-)
Gonna be unemployed soon ... I mean, self-employed. Yeah. Looking forward to it. Seems like I'm going on one big holiday :-) Going to be playing recorder at the C15th ball this weekend. It shames me because at least two of the people there are orchestral grade recorder players, whereas I usually play a couple times a year :-S Probly gonna make lotsa mistakes. Mozart horn concertos are going to be fun though. I mean, hard work *grin* As are the piano duets. Really need to start work on the clarinet exam material soon too ... Got three students sitting exams at the end of the year. Three! That will make a total of five for this year, and the two that sat earlier in the year both passed :-) Bal d'Argent next weekend. Eep! And my 30th ... Thirty!! More eep! |
